Season 4 - What do you want to see?
Well, Season 4 of Deadliest Catch is now just about three months away… what is it you’d like to see this season?
Personally, I thought Season 3 was the best yet. It really seems like the production team, film crew, etc. found their “sea legs”, so to speak, after the second season closed. There were some amazing shots in the third season from perspectives I’d never seen before, and I hope to see more of this in season four. The crew is constantly pushing the envelope in terms of film-making, getting new camera rigs and equipment installed on the boats, etc. so I’m really looking forward to seeing what surprises they’ve got in store for us this year!
I’d also like to see more shots of the families (though I understand many probably want to stay anonymous). But it seems to me like this would really help to personalize the fishermen even more. If we could be introduced to their wives, girlfriends (boyfriends? nah, probably not!), kids, etc. and get a feel for how they stay in touch while on board, what the families do at home while everyone else is out to sea, etc. I’d love to see a bit more of that.
But that’s me. What would YOU like to see in season four?

I love this show!! Talk about real live every day men making an honest living. I am so sick of all these other so called reality shows and all the pompass hollywood celebs giving them self awards every other month. The boats the crew and evan Mike Rowe make me proud to be man who makes a honest living with my hands.

I have to say, I am really looking forward to this new season. I started watching it again in season 3, after missing the 2nd season. I really look forward to the shows when they are on, I like the previews. I even got my girlfriend who would never be caught dead watchng a “reality show” hooked on it. This is definitely real life, and there isn’t any sugar coating this. She even has her favorites, Sig and Phil. I think Sig is the shit!!! We look forward to getting into bed and relaxing and watching the shows. Based on what I have initially read, the new season isn’t until April, I was under the impression in would start in March sometime. Anyone have a definite start date?

I cannot wait for season 4 to start. I am literally wishing my life away waiting for Deadliest Catch. It would be an absolute dream for me to be on one of those boats - one with a lot of cursing and fighting. I love that! These guys are the toughest men on earth.

Captain Jonathan rocks reminds me of Billy from Easy Rider lol, Sig and bro are a riot maybe he can chew off a crab claw this year to go with the Herring. Very entertaining program, waiting for the new season.

I had started to watch the show last season. So far, I think my favorite captions are Sig, Phil, and Jonathan. I am a little curious to hear what the families think about these guys jobs! But I do understand if they do not want to be on the television. I am looking forward in the new season starting!

Don’tchange a thing. If you start getting family involved it will never be the same. It will be like a spin-off and we all know they don’t work. The show is a hit the way it is, I don’t want to know what wife, girlfriend, or kids are doing, that will not keep me watching. That would not be exciting or dangerous that would be just another reality show

I have purchased season one and two and in the process of sending for season three. I love this show and all the guys and their boats. They almost feel like family and it would be great to know the families more but understand if they didn’t want to be so public. I am always interested in the living quarters especially the galley. Love how Donna takes care of her guys with hot coffee and food and often wonder what it would be like to be a cook on one of the boats and fantasize planning hot meals and keeping the coffee strong and hot. I would love one day to have that experience. Good Luck with season four and eagerly await it’s arrival. pattie watson

More of Captain Johnathan, please. In fact I would be happy if they changed the name of the show to Deadliest Hillstrands and placed the main focus on the f/v Time Bandit, with occaisional appearances from the other boats.

Well my son and I love the show and it brings back many memories. Having served on USCG Morgenthau 722 from 79 to 82 I know exactly what they endure with those days and nights and then there are the storm’s. We saved lives and battled the elements. Have a brew in the Red Dog and look for the lights of the day when the storms are away. May your hulls be full of catch and may your lives be safe and sound. Our prayers are with you and your families.

The thing that is talked about and never shown is “where are the chains connected on the rails”? We see them connected on the top but not the bottom. This is part of education. I’d alsoo like to see muc more of the crews. My favooite fisherman is Hiram Johnson. He’s fun! Remember fun? Don’t see much of it these days.

Best show on tv!! My husband, son and I watch it every week, and when it’s not on, we watch re-runs that I have Tivo’d.
Most thrilling moment that I can recall is when the guy went overboard and Jonathan saw it happen. His reaction and
that of Russell Newberry, and the rest of the crew, were nothing short of heroic!! When they got that guy on board, I was
on the edge of my seat with tears running down my face. Then, when Russell and Jonathan re-lived the moment, it was
all I could do to jump in my car and drive to Alaska to hug them!! (My husband stopped me)
Sig, Edgar, ‘Slingblade’, Phil, Jake, Josh, Jonathan, all the Hillstrand bro’s, crews of all the ships, God bless and keep you
safe. And every year, we send up goodwill thoughts to the families and friends of these brave men, including the camera
crews (of course), and Mike Rowe. I could go on and on, but I think you get my point.

What song was played in the end of season 4 episode 1?
Thanks for a possible answer.

Snipets here and there throughout the season of the families would be nice. Maybe as a special hour show after regular season “Deadliest Catch at Home”. It would be interesting to hear how the familes viepoint on their loved ones being gone so much. Some of them are on board 10 months out of the year. That has to be stressful. Do they have Sat Phones, Sat Email, etc… I don’t want personal lives to take over my weekly fix, but I agree that it would humanize the guys even more and show that even macho men have a softer side.

way too much drama, too much acting out for the camera. i enjoy the show when they are fishing, working the boat and just being themselves.
