Deadliest Catch - The Video Game?
Some folks have posted comments suggesting Deadliest Catch should be made into a full-fledged video game. I think with a little imagination it could probably be done. After all, there’s already bass-fishing and games of that ilk out there. This is like bass-fishing on steroids… not only do you have to worry about where the crab are and how to catch them, you have to battle the elements, fight rogue waves, assist in rescues of other crews/ships, catch your crab before the ice pack descends, etc. etc. I could definitely see these themes woven together into a playable video game. Granted it’ll probably never become a #1 hit, but there’s enough Deadliest Catch fans out there I think to make it a reasonable success.

i think greenhorn all the way to captain and of course like a mixture of realtime strategy(for navigating long distances,but if you wanted to do it youself u could) ,first peson(for deckhand , being at the rail, repairing, and sorting) and the ability to steer the boat if you are a thrill seeker. 40 foot waves a crab boat that you buy out of a selection. and mabe upgrading as you play. you know making the boat longeg puting a better engine in, and others

The Deadliest Catch Video game is something I have tried many times to access. I cannot get past turning a blank page or two on the book. Is there suppose to be some software that I need to download first? I have Java, Windows XP, and about $7000.00 worth of Microsoft, Oracle, SQL 7, and proprietor software loaded on this computer.

:O an online MMORPG(massively multiplayer online role playing game)!!! create a charecter, customise it, give it base skills, and then as you gain ‘levels’(your charecter goes up one level for however much experiance you gain) you aquire better skills, better gear, and more access to the boat until you finally become a captian! this way you can assemble a team or real-time players to go out crab fishing with you. thought it might be worth saying.

Yes- a Game that will lets you know how it feels to be one of those guys catchin fish with all the dangers beside you. I hope that it is out on ps2.

I AGREE with all of you! We need to get this webpage to a software designer or someone who can get this idea into a reality, if someone could design this game properly, Deadliest Catch the video game would absolutley amazing. I’m willing to bet who ever designs this game would make millions.

They really should make a game of deadliest catch. All the deadliest catch fans would want to buy a game of this kind. I love the show and if there was a game of it i would be the first one at the store to buy it. They should make it like you can control every single crew member on the boat and fish crab or go into like a career mode where you create a guy and start as a green horn and gain experience just controlling him. Then work your way up to a captain. When controlling every single person you can do all the jobs that has to be done on a crab boat manually. And also when captain you have a gps, maps, and find where to put your pots and controls the ship and everything etc. and one more thing make everything like the show and realistic like the waves and putting the real fishermen in the game like sig hansen, phil harris and the hilstrand brothers. even make the island look real like dutch harbour or st. paul island. With all that said i think they should make this game with all these ideas put into it!!!

just to let you all know, my cousin (who works on the northwestern) went down to california a bit ago to do the motion sensors and shoot the commercial for the xbox 360 game coming out. very exciting. the commercial for the game is set to air in april.

ive been hoping for a game like this before the show even exsisted because i live in alaska and work on boats. one thing i think would be cool to add would be ability to create your own boat where you can choose stuff like the length,width,color,name and if its house aft or house forward and maybe some more options i think that would be cool i hope this game comes out

If you go to discoveries deadliest catch website you may be surprised. In the webisodes Sig hansen has found a group of guys to make the game do to the growing popularity of the show. It will be released he says in April 2008. it will be available in xbox 360 and pc. I know I’m buying it. I love the show. If you go to the deadliest catch site you can see the video of Sig telling you about it.

It is only coming out on Xbox 360 and PC per video submitted by Sig Hansen of the Northwestern to youtube. Sig and his brother are the ones who helped the game creators to develop it

Deadliest catch should be made into a video game. It would be one of the best games in the world as long as it had good graphics. Controlling a boat pulling up pods it would be awesome.
