<description>I've love to see more technical stuff in series 4. More about the equipment and the design of the different boats, eg the differences between purpose built boats and converted boats. When does a boat become obsolete or worn out? When we see a pot being raised, there are little bits missed out of the sequence; I'd like to see fewer bits missed out so I can see the whole process. How are shot lines extended, for instance, what kind of knots do they use? What happens to a pot when the shot line becomes taught and the pot is violently tugged, at an angle, from the sea bed? Why are all the pots the same dimensions; is the design regulated? Why do some boats use three floats on the shot line instead of two? How much maintenance is required for each boat each season and year? Do boat owners trade quota; eg if someone wants to operate a larger boat, do they buy extra quota from older boats being retired? If a boat is lost or damaged, do they rent quote to someone else while they get a replacement or sell quota if they leave the industry?
And what about the crab processing; it would be nice to see the whole processing operation. And the crabs that are thrown back; do we know if they really survive or whether the trauma of being flung like a frisby and landing splat on the sea surface kills them? What about the life cycle of the crab?

Ok, just a few ideas off the top of my head.

<description>I have to say that what the discovery channel has done a gerat job. As a crab fisherman myself I truly believe that what is being segmented on the series could be put to test and that is they should hire me to give them more direction in there productions, for example whats to be expected when situations that exemplify the true blood and gut of the fishery can more accurately be wittnessed by the viewers or snivlers as I may. The truth of the matter is that only ministcual percentiles of the population can withstand such vigor and to do it season after season with the help of God. Two a days athletes, wasnt cow dung, Buttercups. Lived it and loved it and made it. My hats are of to men of the sea! And thanks to discovery for those that could not. Thank you discovery!
