I’ve come to really enjoy the crew of the Cornelia Marie. I like how the family runs the boat and fools around with each other.

  2. Carrie Says:

I like the Northwestern and I think they are going to win again this season!

I like them all for different reasons, but if I’d have to choose, I’d say it’s between the Northwestern and Cornelia Marie.

  4. Jessica Says:

The Cornelia Marie Hands Down is the best out there. Phil is a kick ass captain with a kick ass crew…and his son Jake is hotter than the sun!!!

Hi Guys on the Northwestern and Cornelia Marie!!! You guys make my evenings on Tuesday and Thursdays. I love what you guys are doing out there, it takes alot of guts and tons of dramamine when you are not used to the sea!!! Ha!Ha! My brother and I used to have a 54 foot shrimp-fishing boat named the Dragon Lady or should I say his boat and I got to go along and actually work for food. It got pretty hairy out there a few times in the Gulf of Mexico. I miss it though. I can watch Deadliest Catch and I feel at home with you guys. You all don’t get paid near enough for what you do just so folks can eat seafood. Thank you for all your hard work and wonderful, entertaining humor on the Deadliest Catch. Well,Sig and Phil take care of yourselves and each other on your boats and have a safe and blessed crab season. Will be thinking of you while you are out there on the Bering Sea. God Bless!!! Mona

To the bravist Boys in town..
It seems only wives get to go out..
Weather it be a cook or a crew hand, i understand weight and measure.. No I could not lift 200 pounds of frozen roap 300 times, but I could cook and whether the whether and the bruses at 52 years old and put those suspicious thoughts of yours Sig right where it counts. My fathers parents came to the US by boat from Noraway and I want to go out crabbing.I have tasted Alaska first hand. This Grandma can do it.
Ok brave boys, anyone brave enough to give me a job.

WOW what a great show. All fisherman have a dangerous life and I think it’s great that us land folk get to see it. I live in New England and my heart breaks every time I hear about fishing boats in trouble or worse, missing fisherman. Thanks for showing us your adventures every season and stay safe.

  13. Iris Says:

Three comments. I love the show and it allows me to be grateful that I used to be on the sea up north involved with many fisheries. I miss it and it is a young persons game. Glad I was able to play for all the years I did.

Johanathan on the Time Bandit said on recent After the catch that there were only 81 crab skippers in the world. WRONG.
There are king crab skippers in Norway, and Russia. Huge king crab like in the old days.
There are king crab skippers who are the pioneers from the 60s and 70s in the ” old days.” When the Berring was open year around and they tossed all the non king crab overboard is true disgust.
I appreciate Larry speaking up and correcting Johanthan.

And I trust all the skippers and all the crews will always have safe and blessed sailings.

  14. Bob Says:

Sig is a businessman. He runs a no nonsense attack that I appreciate. I like the fact that there isn’t the melodrama and high maintenance theatrics that some of the others are facing. If I wanted melodrama, I would watch American Chopper. If Sig ever wants an older greenhorn that will work as hard the young guys, I am ready to go!

  15. Ron Says:

If I had to choose what boat to work on, it would be the Time Bandit. All of the captains take their work seriously but Johnathan is just a good ol’ boy. He has a much better personality than some of the others. He must have Southern blood in him.

  16. ben Says:

the mavrick is the best ever i cant wait until my sweat shirt comes from th maverick website.:):):):):):):);)

  17. Thomas Yendell Says:

I watched in awe as Johnathon and his crew saved the life of the fisherman who went overboard off another boat. Without a dought that was the single most important catch of the series. God bless them and Thank God they were in the right place at the right time.

  18. Georgia Says:

I’m 35 and hooked on a crab fishing show. I’ve had many thoughts of moving from Texas to Alaska after watching this show for three seasons. I love this show so much, I’ve seen them all and the reruns over and over. Just can’t get enough of it. Especially, Johnathon and the Time Bandit. He’s the man. I wish you made a T-shirt with the Time Bandit and it’s crew on it, and the Deadliest Catch logo. I think many people would buy them. You could even donate part of the profits to the fishermans memorial fund. That would be nice to be able to help those in need. Please continue on with the show. I need to see the Johnathon (and the crew) or my life just won’t be complete. I pray for all the fisherman and that they always have a safe return. May God bless you all. Continue what your doing and be safe. Love ya’.

I stumbled upon this show one day while flipping thru the channels and I haven’t missed an episode since. I even watch all the re-runs, no matter how many times I’ve seen them. My favorite episode so far was when Jonathan Hilstrand pulled the guy out of the water. My heart was racing like I was there. It really shows all of you men’s character. No matter who you are or what boat your from when your in need, help is there, thank God. Thanks for allowing us to be apart of your lives. Good luck and God bless to all of you brave men. Not to mention the very strong and brave women who stand behind you. They are the hero’s too.

  21. Renea Says:

Without a doubt, my favorites are the Time Bandit, and the Cornelia Marie. I love those Captains. I like the way Captain Phil interacts with his sons, and I just like the way Captain John looks.

  22. Rob McConnell Says:

It’s a close run thing between the Northwestern and the Cornelia Marie as both skippers and crews give a good account of themselves and their ship. Both skippers show true leadership, the men get respect and it is almost the perfect working environment if it wasnt for the temperatures, the storms and of course the sea…. but apart from that it looks cool! Many of us in our comfortable office jobs could do with a reality check sometimes, and these guys on all of the boats get that every day they sail. Jolly well done chaps, from all of us in England

  23. Jon Sigurd Says:

Sig and the rest of the crew on the Northwestern make me proud of beiing norwegian.! My family are fishermen and because of this show I’ve decided to try it out even though I am a farmer. I really love watching this show, I’d watch it all day if I could. My dream would be to become a greenhorn on the Northwestern.

I Love Phill Harris & his Boys, So It’s The Cornelia Marie #1
Time Bandit, With John & Andy #2
God Bless You All, & Stay Safe !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  32. George -Largo Florida Says:

Time Bandit is the big numero uno boat on the Berring Sea. Capt’s. Jonathan & Andy along with the heirs of the boat, Neil & Scottie have one fine and loyal crew. You guy’s know how to have fun while doing a very dangerous job, and when it’s crunch time, how to get real serious, yet always done safely. I cannot rule out Capt. phil on the Cornelia Marie, along with his two boy’s Josh & Jake & and a good dependable freind ” Murray ” and thier crew. Capt. Phil runs a good boat, but could use a Valium prescription to settle down a little bit. Phil the stress is going to kill you, come down a thousand my Brother. You guy’s just keep on bringing that fine crab to my favorite resturant, Crabby Bill’s in Indian Rocks Beach Florida, and every time I eat there, I’ll think of the Deadliest Catch on my plate.

  37. Della Says:

I just “found” Deadliest Catch this summer when they ran a marathon one Saturday. I am HOOKED! (pardon the pun). Capt Jonathan of The Time Bandit reminds me so much of my late brother-in-law, it’s not even funny! Same scruffy good looks, same goofy sense of humor, same cussing like a sailor and smokin like a chimney!!!!! I like the way he and Andy run the boat with such brotherly comraderie. Their boat doesn’t seem to have the bad vibes some of the other ones do at times. They work hard but they seem to know how to have fun, too. I’d consider living in Alaska for someone like him!!!!!

  38. Jack Says:

I like the Northwestern and the Cornelia Marie the best.

  39. daniela Says:

my favorite is the Cornelia Marie, ever since I watched it with my husband I am a fan, I watch it all day on the weekends also besides Tuesday nights. The Cornelia to me is a family boat it broke my heart when Phil got sick and he had to stay ashore while his sons and co captain took the boat out. Dont get me wrong I like them all, but the Cornelia is my favorite.

  40. kelli Says:
